CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON

Modern vehicles come equipped with an onboard computer diagnostic system (OBD II) that monitors your vehicle’s operations. The OBD II system monitors emissions control systems. That means the monitors can detect anything from a loose fuel cap to a clogged catalytic converter. An illuminated check engine light means that the driver should have the vehicle checked as soon as possible; a flashing check engine Light means that the driver should park and shut off the vehicle immediately - before serious engine or emissions system damage occurs.

Many vehicle owners that leave a check engine light on and do not have that issue address have no clue that they have other issues. They think that the light is on due to the first problem they had.

CK Family Car Care’s ASE certified technicians have the elite training to check, check engine light codes, resolve the required maintenance or repair issues, and get your car on the road safely — without the worries of an illuminated ‘check engine light” CK Family Car Care ASE expert auto repair technicians are equipped to handle all your auto repair needs.

ABS BRAKE WARNING

An ABS warning light means the ABS system has been deactivated because of a self-diagnosed fault. Normal braking should remain. This means a wheel could "lock up" when applying the brakes, allowing the vehicle to "go into a spin." However, the vehicle should be safe to drive provided the driver does not have to call on his ABS system when panic braking, or on a wet or slick surface.

A brake warning lamp (not ABS lamp) that remains on or comes on while driving, usually signals a problem with the hydraulic system, not the ABS system. There may be a fluid leak or loss of pressure, either of which pose a danger to safe braking. The cause of the brake warning light should be investigated immediately. CK Family Car Care’s ASE certified technicians are up to date on all ABS training and are ready to diagnose your vehicles ABS problems. Don’t put your family and others in danger get your ABS WORKING AND KEEP YOUR FAMILY SAFE.
